The miracle that occurred at Pentecost sends us a message we need to hear: concentrate on the language that does unite us, despite all worldly differences, the language of the Spirit of God. Embrace the Power of the Holy Spirit in your daily living…
I trust all of our St. Kevin mothers and grandmothers had an enjoyable and relaxing Mother’s Day. You are all an inspiration to your children and grandchildren, and you deserve a day dedicated to your daily efforts. Now we look forward to honoring all our St. Kevin fathers and grandfathers.
I can hardly believe that the end of school is approaching so quickly. We have many things planned and there is still so much that the children will accomplish. This Friday, May 16, 2008 the student body will be participating in a community service project honoring Joyce Fowler Day of Service. All of the students in the local schools will be participating in events throughout the school day. This day is in honor of Joyce Fowler who was a long time resident of Springfield who died in September 2006. She dedicated herself to service to our community in so many ways. The St. Kevin School children will be writing letters in school to the children on the cardiac care unit at Children's Hospital. These letters will be placed in beautiful prayer boxes, made by Mrs. Tammy Bell. Also, in addition, we are filling a Coletti Family prayer box. Any family who would like to contribute we ask that you please send in your card or letter to school by Friday, May 16, 2008.
Thank you for understanding about the change in class picture day. We like taking the pictures outside around our beautiful sign. Please send your child to school in their spring uniform for Tuesday, May 13, 2008. The boys will wear Khaki pants and the short sleeve golf shirt. The girls will wear the jumper or kilt with the short sleeve golf shirt.
